Hungary is a unitary parliamentary republicin Central Europe. It covers an area of 93,030 square kilometres, situated in the Carpathian Basin, and is bordered by Slovakiato the north, Romaniato the east, Serbiato the south, Croatiato the southwest, Sloveniato the west, Austriato the northwest, and Ukraineto the northeast. With about 10 million inhabitants, Hungary is a medium-sized member stateof the European Union.
